We are grateful to all our volunteers who served at the annual Light of Christ Community Garden Easter Egg Hunt! Tractor rides, photo booth, games, Brownie, the pony, and SO many eggs! So many fun events and powerful Easter services in our community this season. He is risen, indeed!

Merry, merry Christmas!
So much Christmas love being spread in our community. I know it can be an exhausting season for church staff! Thank you for ALL you are doing. I am praying for good health and JOY for you today.
WLOC is committed to sharing God’s love in a tangible way, building unity among the churches & activating people into their gifts and talents. Trust and relationships have been built and are strong in our community! Join us this next year as we pray for city transformation!
We’d love to invite everyone to participate in any of the events listed below. These are well established, easy, and accommodate large groups! It’s impactful when we join together. (You will receive monthly updates on other opportunities as they arise!)
• February 9 (Thursday) | Pastors Lunch at Brooklake | 11:45 am – 1 pm
Please invite outreach & youth leaders. Spouses welcome!
• March | March of Diapers
This is all month long! Thousands of diapers & wipes are collected and distributed to multiple locations including Carenet, local food banks, DAWN etc.
Collection sites needed. Donate online & they will shop for you. Please help us Save One Tush at a Time!
• April 22 | Park Appreciation Day | 9 am – 12 pm
The FW Parks Dept is understaffed and is SO grateful when we do anything to help them. It brings them great joy and momentum when the team SHOWS UP!
• July 8 | Community Serve Day | 9 am – 12 pm
We just need EVERYONE to come!
• August | Annual Community Red Canoe Credit Union Back to School Backpack Drive
Red Canoe will match one dollar per pound of donations & for each dollar donated. Drop sites, donations & dollars needed for quality backpacks
November 19 (Sunday only) | 10th Annual Turkey Drive!
Our goal is to have at least 10 churches participate!! Drop sites, frozen turkeys (& sides), dollars needed. Donations go to local food banks, non-profits & the FW Vet Center
December | FW Cares for Kids Toy Drive
Drop sites, toys, gifts cards or dollars needed
FW Farmers Market | Saturdays, May 13 – October | 9 am – 3 pm
They will give your church a free booth in exchange for providing kids activities!
City of FW Movies in the Park | July 29 & Aug 19
Bring your church, families, friends for a picnic & movie. Kids activities needed!

WLOC has been in touch with several schools and the needs are huge. I believe we can pray and do some very tangible things together to bring hope & joy. Mentors, PTA leaders, coaches etc needed. Lots of ways to support the staff. Please consider what you can do!

Families enjoyed some Easter festivities at the Light of Christ Community Garden Bunny Trail Scavenger Hunt. They explored, enjoyed several photo ops, tractor rides, music, bubbles, and lots of treats! Thank you WLOC volunteers for making this a special day!
Happy 2021!
Our superstar volunteers make distributing 31,000 pounds of USDA Farm to Family Food boxes look so easy! They served faithfully every Thursday morning for 34 weeks in 2020 and they haven’t slowed down. We are so thankful to collaborate with so many churches, food banks, nonprofits, city members, leaders & schools. Thursday is our favorite day of the week!
