The annual Federal Way Cares for Kids toy drive and holiday event was another success!
It’s a beautiful collaboration of the FWPS district, SK Fire, FW police, and local churches and businesses. A special thanks to Misty & Omar Lara, Grace staff, Gina Duckett, and Journey friends & family for taking the lead and for volunteering multiple hours to bless so many. This year we experienced a Christmas miracle with a new partner, PNW Restoration. They partnered with SK Fire & donated money, toys, and food (for the FW Senior Center Food Bank), along with the volunteer hours of highly talented and skilled staff. Thank you Family Life Community Church for your participation again this year! You have donated consistently and it is appreciated!
944 kids were served at this event. Extra toys and gift cards were distributed to veteran families & many other families with individual requests! Many families had a merry Christmas because of you!
