We Love Our City 2019

CITYWIDE SERVE DAY
September 29, 2019

250 volunteers from 14 local churches, friends & family gathered together for the 5th Annual WLOC Serve Day.

We gathered at Voice of Hope Church for opening remarks by Judge Dave Larson & Mark Koppang. Pastor Jeff Moorehead said a prayer for our city & then we divided into teams & served throughout the community. Projects included clean up at the Hylebos Blueberry Farm, Sacajawea Park & School, Lakota Middle School Garden, Light of Christ Community Garden, FW Senior Center & Garden & the Projecto Honduras Warehouse. Teams also worked at the Young Life House, while others assembled hygiene leis for veterans & created gift bags for first responders. Another team served at the FW Day Center. They cleaned & donated toys, books & furniture & created a fun kids room.

Our goal was to love & support our city well & to help people learn more about our city & how they can use their gifts & talents to do more. Goal was accomplished!
