Summer Blood Drive

Virtual Blood Drive July 2-23

Make an appointment online at https://schedule.bloodworksnw.org between July 2nd and 23rd at any Donor Center or Pop-Up.

On the day of your donation let the registrar know that you are donating on behalf of “We Love Our City” by providing this donor code: WLOC.

This is how we track your donation.

We need 1,000 people to step up every day to keep our community’s blood supply at safe and reliable levels. Summer activities like travel, visiting guests, and fun in the sun sometimes prevent would-be donors from donating blood, and our inventory struggles throughout the season. But our community’s need for blood is constant, no matter the weather. Make a summertime blood donation appointment today and help make summer 2022 the best summer ever, for everyone.

COVID-19 Notice: Appointments and masks required. There is no deferral from donating if you receive the COVID vaccine. See our COVID-19 safety measures for more information.

March of Diapers

The goal for 2022 is to collect at least 500,000 diapers. The March of Diapers will collect a total of one million+ diapers since its inception if this year’s goal is met.

The March of Diapers drive started after South King County resident Cheryl Hurst visited The DAWN domestic violence shelter that routinely has babies accompanying women seeking shelter from domestic abuse. Hurst, says, “I saw that the shelter had only 1 box of diapers and I had this indescribable feeling that something needed to be done to fix this problem.”

9th Annual Turkey Drive

Thank you Brooklake Church for loving our community and for starting one of our favorite holiday traditions! We loved partnering with you and so many others again this year for the 9th Annual Turkey Drive. We just reached a combined total of 516 turkeys. In addition, the Uncommon Christian team donated 40 bags of groceries filled with sides ( along with 40 turkeys) and the students from Pacific Christian Academy collected 319 pounds of non-perishable food items. Donations were distributed to our local Multi Service Center, Federal Way Senior Center/Food Bank/Nutritional Meals Program, Federal Way Veterans Center, local schools, and individual families.

So much happens when we partner together to love our community!

Thank you Family Life Community, Anthem Church Northwest, Uncommon Christian Community, Brooklake Church, Pacific Christian Academy, and Tri-Worship for demonstrating the true spirit of giving.
